PRODUCE TO REPURPOSE

"ONLY 15% OF THE 10 BILLION PLASTIC COAT HANGERS PRODUCED EACH YEAR ARE RECYCLED"

It is fast becoming the responsibility of the retailer / manufacturer to take ownership of the items they produce and offer solutions for end of life or discarded and unwanted items, one of which is plastic coat hangers.

Many retailers recognise that whilst 'Garments On Hangers' (GOH) are an everyday benefit to them, in reality they are often left with the headache of what to do with the plastic coat hangers left over.

With REUSE  being at the core of CTR Restock, we are always looking for ways to help offer our retail partners with an ethical, closed loop recycling solution in line with our ZERO to landfill policy.

Heavy investment in machinery means we are one of the only recyclers in the UK to offer a full cycle, 'produce to repurpose' solution right here in the UK. No third party involvement, we handle everything end to end.

A key difference over other business models (which most often involves RDF or landfill as a means of disposal), is that we are able to produce clean, shredded material which is sold back into plastic manufacturing sector or redistribution to markets around the world. Each route offers a sustainable way to ensure you are meeting your Corporate Social Responsibilities.

We are able to offer several solutions to suit your requirements, so why not drop us a line and let us take care of recycling your plastic coat hangers

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE COAT HANGERS WE COLLECT?

Centrally based in the UK we are able to offer logistical support all across the country.

Plastic coat hangers arrive on site, mostly in large bales, where they are unloaded and weighed, they are then loosely broken up and, using large magnets, plastic and metal are separated.

The plastic is then shredded further and granulated down to mm sizing, and bagged ready for transportation.

The granulated plastic is then sent for reuse / repurposing, back into the manufacturing sector - and often remoulded into new coat hangers!

As part of the full cycle we are able to provide full documentation in line with legislation for your

Complete Corporate Compliance.
